February 2014

I took these photos (along with 30 others) for our Valentine's Day card this year.  The kids LOVE their super hero shirts.

Canaan and I joined some friends to see Goldilocks and the Three Bears at a local theater.

Celebrating the Seahawks' Super Bowl victory

One of the kids favorite things to do is play our Kinect Adventures game on the tv.  Here is a picture of Canaan and me playing.  Jude was not happy that he had to sit out while Matthew and Canaan played.

Grandma made this activity book for Canaan when she was 1 1/2.  Jude enjoys playing with it, too.

Finally some snow at our house!

Mommy, "Canaan, I don't think you could be wearing more bling if you tried."  Canaan replied, "Yes I could Mom.  I need a ring."  She certainly comes up with some interesting outfit combinations these days.

Canaan came home from preschool and immediately wanted to check out what valentines she had received.

This is a HAPPY Max.  He loves playing fetch.

Our Valentine celebration at home...waffles and fresh strawberries for breakfast, having tea later on in the day, Canaan snuggling with Max during a movie, and a family photo after takeout for supper.  I guess Jude never got out of his pjs!

Matthew is involved in the youth group at church so we joined them for a snow day.  Canaan loved playing in the snow with the teenagers.

Canaan got fingernail polish for Christmas.  This was the first time I let her put it on by herself.

Matthew and I attended a Fernando Ortega concert to benefit Carenet.  It was a fun night out!

The slide off the deck in our backyard remains a fun spot for the kids to play.

Canaan has been talking about camping a lot lately so we put the tent up in the living room.  The first night it was up I slept in the tent with her.  The second night she slept there by herself.  We were able to fit her mattress inside which was much nicer than sleeping on the hard floor.

We participated in a co-op this Spring and studied maps, compasses, etc.  This was a field trip we took.  Again, Canaan found the tiniest of creatures on those rocks.
